My name is Isabella and I am a mechanical engineer. I just graduated with my Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington in Seattle. My primary specialties are in designing, prototyping, machining, computer programming, and robotics.
As an engineer, I take a systems thinking approach to designing technology with lasting benefits for people. I am passionate about hands-on work and interdisciplinary problem solving, and improving the diversity in STEM to gain new perspectives and novel approaches. I was the first female captain of my high school’s FIRST Robotics team and I served as President of Cooper Union’s SWE chapter. After graduating from college, I spent a year serving in AmeriCorps NCCC, where I traveled with a team of 10 throughout the Southwestern United States building affordable housing and helping communities recover from natural disasters.
I like to spend my free time baking and cooking, reading philosophy books and novels, and solving the New York Times crossword every day. Explore my project history in my portfolio.
